If you’re a South Asian, you’ve probably seen at least one Shah Rukh Khan movie even if you don’t watch Bollywood. He’s one of the biggest names in Bollywood so we decided to compile a list of his best movies according to imdb’s ratings starting from the highest.
1. Chak De! India
After failing to score the winning goal, Kabir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan), Captain of the Men’s Hockey Team is blamed for the team’s loss and fired. Years later he is given a chance to salvage his reputation, when he is offered the position as coach of the Women’s Hockey Team. One of his star players, Vidya (Vidya Malvade), is forced to convince her tradition-minded parents that she should be allowed to play as the team prepares for a big tournament in Australia.

Living in America, a NASA engineer (Shah Rukh Khan) returns to India and reconnects with a childhood friend (Gayatri Joshi) and his former wet nurse.

Raj and Simran meet on a trip to Europe. After some initial misadventures, they fall in love. The battle begins to win over two traditional families.

A man (Shah Rukh Khan) belongs to a middle-class family and is intent on pursuing his career with a music group, despite his dad’s disapproval. He is also in love with the lead singer (Suchitra Krishnamoorthi), but she sees him mainly as a friend.
Kiran Awasthi (Juhi Chawla) is engaged to Sunil (Sunny Deol), a successful young navy man who has the approval of Kiran’s family. But someone doesn’t approve of the pair’s plans and begins making threatening calls to their house. The culprit turns out to be Kiran’s scorned, obsessed lover, Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), who takes his jealousy too far, even attempting to kill Sunil. Kiran and Sunil flee to Switzerland, but Rahul manages to discover their whereabouts and heads west to confront them.

This fictional Indian drama tells the story of Saketh Ram (Kamal Hassan), a disillusioned man who tries to kill Mohandas Gandhi (Naseeruddin Shah). After sectarian violence claims the life of his wife, Aparna (Rani Mukharjee), Saketh becomes a Hindu extremist, and, although Muslims are responsible for his wife’s death, he begins to blame Gandhi and his tolerant approach to religious differences. Concerned only with his idea of vengeance, Saketh is consumed with hatred and zealotry.
